Make a Friend

Serena figured out this morning how to do "Make a Friend"!! It isn't perfect yet but when I say that she will lift her paw off the ground. It made my morning!

My name is Sarah. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in May 2009 with a degree in Animal Sciences. I have always wanted to train dogs for the blind but there were no programs in the midwest. I was searching for guide dog programs and found My Angel with Paws, a service dog training program. I didn't know much about training service dogs; all I knew was I wanted to do it! 3 weeks later I brought home Serena and have been addicted ever since. It is probably one of the most rewarding, fun things I have ever done. When I am not training service dogs, I work at an accounting office and ride my horse, Reggie.
